Pet Travel/Relocation

The AVC Pet Travel staff can help you with all your pet travel needs!   We can make all the necessary arrangements for importing or exporting your pet...including flight bookings, permits, airport delivery/pick-up, etc...   If you would like to arrange some of these details yourself, just let us know what we can do to help.

On arrival in the UAE, we can clear and collect your pets at the airport, delivering them to your home or to our dog/cat boarding facilities.

Please give yourself (and us) plenty of time to make the necessary arrangements.   Depending on where you are traveling from/to, the process can take months!

Note: Animals must be booked as manifested cargo, unless special concessions are made by the airline.

Travel Tips:

  • Ensure the travel cage meets airline specifications.
  • Ensure that you have at least 3 copies of ALL original documents. Keep one set of copies at home, one set of copies in your travel bag and one in your suitcase! Paperwork can be misplaced by the airlines which can delay your arrival or departure.
  • Your pet's food should be removed at least 4 hours prior to departure.
  • Ensure that there is a water container attached to your pet's travel cage.
  • Attach Contact information to the outside of the cage.
  • Other than a towel don't put anything in the cage as this will require additional security checks which means the animal will have to be removed from the cage. (We recommend a bath towel over an absorbent pad, as pads tend to bunch up in the corners.)

  • Buy your cage well in advance of travel and leave it open in your house so your pet can become familiar and comfortable with it.
